Thursday morning. As usual, I stopped out from our room to the balcony to
see what the birds were doing.
Sunset already: much of our day was spent going into downtown Tampa
to have lunch with Carol and Kelsey, and see Kelsey's new apartment.
Friday morning.
The birds like the fishermen.
Gull tracks
The cormorants again, still enjoying that swimming pool.
These tiny frogs (maybe half an inch in size) kept jumping into the pool and having
to be rescued.
Neat idea to do next time - a kayak with a small sail.
Views from the bridge to Indian Rocks over the Intercoastal Waterway. Some of the
buildings are Clearwater.
We parked at the bottom and hiked up the bridge.
elegant dinner on the balcony: pasta and shrimp by Laurie.
Beth doing math to figure out the accounts.
Laurie and Rudy get in one more beach moment before heading for the airport.
A dolphin swam by, exactly where we'd been swimming the day before.
ready to leave
Jerry and Julia took Laurie and Rudy to the airport while Beth, John, Glen, and Anne
closed up the house. Then we took Beth and John to the airport, stopping
on the way for a hearty brunch at Mom's Place. Then we rendevoused with Jerry back
at his house in Dunedin.
Jerry's hibiscus puts on a good show.
Carol and her mom, Lee, came over for dinner. Jerry's friend Joe stopped by, helped
fix dinner, and then left before eating. He had merely gotten out of the way for a bit while
his pregnant wife Jen rested.
Dinner was beautifully-grilled tenderloins.
We left Jerry's house at 4am Sunday morning to catch our flight home. We'd said our
goodbyes the night before, and sneaked out in the middle of the night - the popular
billing option at the Happiness Hotel in The Great Muppet Caper.
