Thank you to Robyn for sharing her pictures.
Lisa kindly purchased our trip photo collage as put together by the on-board
photographer. The images in the top and bottom right-side corners were from our
adventure, as of course was the center photo. The rest are from other trips by
this crew.
Arriving at the marina.
Tickets in hand, waiting for departure time.
Our boat, the Manute'a.
The boat was doubled-hulled and the front had what they termed a 'trampoline'
stretched between the two hulls. It was a weave of sturdy material, but you could see
through it to the water.
This front corner was where I perched for much of the trip.
Our first exciting spotting was a pair of mola-mola fish.
And then we came upon a pair of fin whales. I've now learned that
they are second only to the blue whales in size.
Robyn got a cool video of them spouting, so I did some frame captures.
They disappeared for a bit, and then came back up and dazzled us again.
And then we found the dolphins - or they found us.
This boat has two 'pods' for underwater viewing build into the front hulls.
Lisa and Robyn doing some photography.
we could see through the 'trampoline' and watch the dolphins right beneath our feet.
Finally taking a seat while heading back to the marina.
