Part 2


Kitty and Anne took a 4-mile hike to Suzy's Cave while Margie took a nap. Margie was still battling bronchitis, so rest was imperative.




We kept an eye out for a moose; the droppings were certainly in evidence.

Such clear water. This might be a lake trout?





























The trail was interesting at points: creek, mud, roots, and rocks.






















































turn-off for Suzy's Cave. We stop skirting the shore here and hike across a small ridge to the cave and down to Tobin Harbor on the other side.














The cave is tiny and formed by wave action thousands of years ago when the water level was higher.












































a loon!









We saw a couple rabbits. This one seemed as curious about us as we were about it. It hopped right over and stared at us.




so much to see, even the ground surface was fascinating.
