New Jersey in February: the road home

Interesting phenomena seen on the drive home Monday. We left a couple hours earlier (11am instead of after lunch) because a winter storm was predicted to cause hazardous conditions on i80 later that day.

Winter Storm Warning sign. Driving conditions were gray, but otherwise pretty good at the moment. Around the middle of PA, we saw a sign advising that commercial traffic would be banned later that night and Tuesday morning.

This looked like a ghost forest. It must have been ice shrouding each branch and twig.

Back in Ohio. We made it safely home before any of the 8-12" of snow hit i80 that night.
