We started at the parking lot where the top arrow is pointed, and walked to the other
arrow, and back.
much of this area was beach in the 1950's and 60's, and the concrete embankments
are still there.
Perry's Monument on South Bass Island is visible, especially with a good zoom lens.
These are the concrete pads that used to support beach houses and bathrooms.

The return trail was probably the old access road for the bathhouses. It was a bit
soggy, so we retraced our steps using the trail by the beach instead.
This is the cut-off for the wetlands trail. It was just a bit too wet for us!

They let us get pretty close, although watching us, and the hikers approaching
from the other side, pretty carefully.
