The visitor center had a display of what the soldiers' huts might have looked liked when occupied. Each one would accommodate 8 soldiers.

The huts were constructed in strict accordance to plans. The exact location, layout, and size were all specified. Regular soldiers' huts were on the lower slopes, with officiers' slightly nicer huts a little above them.

Officiers' hut with two rooms and two bunks in each room.
