The visitor center had a display of what the soldiers' huts might have
looked liked when occupied. Each one would accommodate 8 soldiers.
The huts were constructed in strict accordance to plans. The exact location, layout, and
size were all specified. Regular soldiers' huts were on the lower slopes, with
officiers' slightly nicer huts a little above them.
