Hikes

March 8th: Towner's Woods near Kent

Roger joined us to explore this park.

We followed the blue trail, then red, yellow, back to a bit of the red, green, connecting to the red trail again past the sledding area marked in chartreuse, the upper brown, and back to blue to the parking lot. We didn't actually park in this lot, but hiked over on the hike/bike path.

The water is all protected, but the view is available, and lovely.

Looks like the work of a pretty ambitious beaver.

The sledding area.

Turtles enjoying a sunny day. I was surprised to realize one of them is a large snapping turtle.
