Chippewa Creek, north side in the Brecksville Reservation, October 10th

CVNP HQ, driving by on Riverview.

We parked near the dawn redwoods.

Some Fall color.

We hiked west on the north side of Chippewa Creek, starting from the low bridge/ford.

Fossils in the rock.

Back to the road and the low bridge.

There were still families enjoying wading in the creek, but not quite as many as when we arrived earlier in the afternoon.

Dawn Redwoods are just beautiful.

This one is just starting to change color. Rare among conifers, Dawn Redwoods drop their leaves/needles in the fall and put out new ones in the spring.
