Winter 2020/21

"2020 continues to be a strange year. We are continuing to isolate ourselves as much as possible, and wear masks, maintain safe distance, and wash our hands frequently when interacting with other people, such as at the grocery store. "

Yes, that's exactly what I wrote for Summer 2020, and Fall 2020. It's still true. COVID-19 is still not under control in this country, and probably won't be when I start working on Spring 2021! We are pretty far down the list for getting a vaccine, but that's because we're not at risk like the front-line medical, emergency, or grocery workers.

And to add to the strangeness, The Capitol was invaded by seditionists, waving a Confederate Flag (among others), and egged on by the President. Thank goodness they were unable to reach any lawmakers. They were carrying zip-tie handcuffs and had erected a noose and scaffold on the Mall.

Our neighborhood worked together for a night of luminaria. It was well-organized and participation was almost 100% for 300+ homes. These are our set in the foreground.
