Fall 2021

COVID-19 appears to be here to stay. So we're learning how to live with this now-endemic virus. Our approach is to get every vaccine we're eligible for, continue to wear masks when shopping, and avoid eating inside restaurants (although we have been known to make exceptions). However, we are travelling and accepting the risk that comes along with seeing people who are important to us.

Lily's zoom buddy, the Grinch.

Glen researched kayaks and picked out these two from Tractor Supply. He managed to fit them both in the Sienna to get them home from the store.

I couldn't go along since he needed every inch to accommodate the 10-ft kayaks.

Normally they will travel strapped to the kayak racks on top of the Subaru.

Glen is busy assembling the trailer he got from Harbor Freight. It folds in the middle so it can be stored upright in the garage.

The plan is to use the trailer with the Sienna for carting home supplies from Home Depot or taking out the kayaks.

We got a crop of seckel pears on our trees this year!

We had to let the 1990 Honda go. There wasn't space in the garage for three cars and keeping them outside allowed them to rust. Thank you for the many years of good service, faithful servant.

Glen retired in October 2021. This is what we did on his first day of retirement, went kayaking at Mogadore Reservoir.

Neat mushrooms in the yard.

Grapel - not quite snow - on October 17th.

We are very happy with the mpg on the Sienna hybrid. It frequently exceeds the rated mpg of 36.

We made sure Roger had plenty of left-over pizza before Glen & Anne left for their November trip to PA, NJ, and CT.

Alan took these pictures of the lunar eclipse on November 19th.

More grapel on November 19th. Not quite winter, but close.

Thanksgiving in the time of Covid is a small affair. We stayed home, but the guys did allow me to put out the fancy china.
