Anne's Trip to Gaithersburg

Finally, after over a year of observing Covid protocols, Anne was able to travel to see her mother in late April. We had to wait until we both got our vaccinations.

So good to see Mother! It felt daring to actually hug her!

The lilac bush still had a few blooms left for me to see.

Azaleas were spectacular.

Wendy had already gotten at least one shot, so she felt okay to come over for a visit. Vanessa and Steve were still waiting for their vaccinations, so they stayed home.

The weather was perfect for getting some vitamin D.

A rare shot of Wendy relaxing and not tatting!

We did just one puzzle while I was there - we had a lot of other things on the list to do.

We zoomed with the Cattans, using Mother's tablet.

Mother got out her set of blocks to entertain Lily and Rose.

Kids and Grinch: up-side-down.

We spent one afternoon clearing the kitchen table - both to improve safety of the toaster oven, and root out the pantry moths.

Another zoom session: this one also included the Leons.

The rhodadendron started blooming at the end of the week-long visit.

Time to head home. I drove the new Sienna on its first road trip.
