RiteAid in Ada
Ada is also the home of Ohio Northern University where Uncle Jerry went to school.
The dishwasher that had come with the house finally gave up in March, so
we set up the racks as a drying station and prepared to wait while we
figured out what we wanted and then ordered it.
As it turns out, we didn't wait long. Lowe's had one in stock, so Glen did a
curb-side pickup of the large box and installed it that night. We hadn't
counted on the fact that the new unit was just 1/4" too tall to go under the counter,
though, so Glen pulled up some of the overlaid wood floor planks, revealing the
original linoleum. The dishwasher could then slide into place, and Glen relaid the
flooring. The new model is rated at 32db, very quiet.
We're starting to think about retirement and roadtrips, so we purchased our
first new car since 1988. It's a 2021 hybrid Toyota Sienna. It seats up to
8 passengers and has easily-foldable rear seats to adjust cargo space as desired.
Fitting the Sienna in the garage necessitated a bit of reorganization.

Rhubarb is thriving.
Our first dinner elsewhere since last March - now that we're all vaccinated,
we felt it should be safe to gather in a small group. Laurie fixed
a spaghetti dinner for us.
The redbud tree out front is beautiful when it blooms.
Plenty of pollinators.

plenty of green apricots, but the squirrels clear it out.
The Echo Hills swim lake dam sprang a leak, so the lake had to be drained
for repair. It should be refilled in the summer.
Anne found a northeast view of the horizon at Sleepy Hollow Golf Course on June 10th.
There was a partial solar eclipse at sunrise.
Taken after the sun was up a bit more. I used the zoom on my camera and shot through
the eclipse-viewer shades.
